The Scooter Club Competition

This competition is meant to add some fun to this High Rollers Weekend; it is Vegas you know! This is the only US rally that truly draws clubs from around the USA and beyond. The competition is not meant to exclude anyone, nor limit people from competing. This is a way to bring club members together and see how good they really are. It is quite possible that even a small group of 3 or 4 people could win this competition and it is not meant to put any clubs at odds with each, so save your grief for home. Those people not in a scooter club are still are able compete as "No Scooter Club". This will be fully explained on the website.

The competition will be 10 events with winners receiving points for each event. The club with the most totaled points between all its members and all the events at the end of the weekend wins the $1000. Each event will be hosted and judged by 1 or 2 scooter clubs or scooter organizations. 10 events may seem like a lot to do, but we honestly don’t expect clubs to compete in all of them. Realistically the club that wins only 3 or 4 events will most likely take home the cash, so round up the ringers in your club and bring them to Vegas.

PRE-REGISTRATION

pre-registerYou will need to pre-register to compete in the competitions and you will need to pre-register to get rally shirts/swag your size. Modified Clothing will be handling the printing/distributing of the rally bags and all merchandise. They will offer different choices of rally shirts and/or sweatshirts. You will be able to pre-register and purchase rally merchandise through their on-line store. Once you pre-register, Modified will have your rally bag and other goodies for you when you arrive in Las Vegas. The cost to register for Vegas is a mere $10! This includes your rally bag, patch, misc. swag, and a bracelet to get into the evening event. Pre-registration begins November 1st, 2007 and here is the link to pre-register: www.modifiedprinting.com/VegasPreReg.html

GENERAL RULES

1. Again, to compete you must pre-register for the rally at www.modifiedprinting.com/VegasPreReg.html

2. You can only register as being in only one club (even if you are in several) and any points earned by you will go ONLY to that club automatically. No changes will be accepted after register or during the rally. If you are not in a scooter club, list yourself as being in “NO SCOOTER CLUB” and you still can compete and win.

3. To be a member of a club you have to be in the club before December 1st, 2007 and it must be listed somewhere in print or online: website, myspace whatever. There are many scooterists that will call you out, so please be honest about what club you are in. A list of everyone and their club will be put on the website a week before the rally so everyone can check who is claiming to be in what club.

4. Once pre-registered, please email the host for each competition if you would like to compete in that specific event. This is not necessary but it will speed things up of you tell us in advance that you are planning on competing is say the bowling tournament. See Specific Rules for host and email address.

5. Scoring - points will be given out for each competition. There will be three winners for each competition, 1st place will get 5 points, 2nd will get 3 points and 3rd will get 1 point.

There will be two exceptions. For the scooter awards there will be an exception, for each award the club will get 3 points. The men’s wheelie competition and the women’s slow ride competition will only have 1 winner which will get 5 points each.

The Club with the most points at the end, wins $1000 cash, second place gets $250 and third gets a pat on the back. Cash awards will be given out Sunday at the Elks Lodge.

5. “No Scooter Club” Competing - Scooterist not in a club will be able to register as being in the No Scooter Club (NSC). Which means that if members from NSC who may not even know each other compete and win the overall competition, the winners would split the $1000. So if 5 events, regardless of points, were won by NSC members, each winner would get $200. The bowling team would be considered 1 member.

6. Points Updates – scoring will be texted messaged all weekend long to anyone who wants to receive them, go to www.TxtMob.com and sign up for “HighRollerWeekend”. For those who want to shit talk about how great their club is or rub dirt in others face sign up for “HighRollersBanter”

7. If there are any challenges, errors, debates, or concerns the hosts of the 10 events will gather to make any last minute rulings. This is meant to be fun, so we are not going to kill ourselves or our weekend to debate petty issues. Please be EXTREMELY considerate of this before bringing forth any issues.
